Does Precious stereotype big black women?

Excitement surrounding the film Precious continues to grow as the gripping tale of a young woman’s struggle to overcome her past opens in theaters. The film’s main character is Claireece “Precious” Jones, an abused teen mother who is dark-skinned, overweight and illiterate.

Fears that the movie would be viewed as exploitative, or suggest that all black women are like Precious nearly prevented the film from seeing the big screen.

Did Mary J Blige sing longest version of the national anthem ever?

Now I'm joking when I ask that but many believe that Mary J Blige set a record for longest version of the Star Spangled Banner before game 6 of the 2009 World Series. Now don't get me wrong home girl ripped it but if I can run upstairs pop popcorn and get back before she finished singing....LOL. Read the controversial Morehouse dress code

Check out the controversial Morehouse dress code which basically ask it's young men to dress as if they are in the professional world. It of course bans doo rags, grillzs, and sagging pants but it was very surprising to see it had to ban women's clothes and shoes?!?!
